What is Patient-Centered Research?
Most of PD research has been evaluated by what the provider can observe, not what the patient experiences. The PRO-PD turns the patient experience into numbers and graphs they can use to better understand trends, set goals, and evaluated effectiveness of interventions.

PRO-PD & Diet
The greater the adherence to the PRO-21 diet, the fewer symptoms reported and the slower the rate of progression over the subsequent decade.
Unlike prior cross-sectional studies, this manuscript is the first to report on longitudinal data.

PRO-PD & Exercise
When presented as a radar chart, it’s possible to see which symptoms are most strongly associated with more activity. The smaller the size of the center, the fewer the symptoms.

PRO-PD & Social Health
Lonely people don’t seem to have a faster rate of progression, but they report consistently more symptoms over time.
Feeling lonely and having friends contributes more to a person’s quality of life than their tremor severity.
